The bar area is way too noisy. The server that we had was slow. Happy hour appetizers as well as the lobster,should be served any where you sit in the restaurant, not just at the bar. The rolls are not the best..it's just bread.. you would think the butter would have some flavor...the land o lakes spread I use taste better. My fried shrimp were good as well as the crab cake.
The service was great as was the food. Food portions were of the main dish was large. Sides were normal. I suggest you make reservations if you plan to dine here on the weekends because it gets pretty busy.
I was waiting almost 35 minutes only to find out they were buzzing the wrong disc. Then I couldn't be seated until the manager came back and no one could fund him for 15 minutes. The food is good but not worth the service.
Great food, great atmosphere. Food is great with comparable pricing. Great selection of food from seafood to steaks, pork to chicken to pasta. No scrimping on portions and deserts to top it all off. You gotta try it. Would recommend reservations though.
Terrible service.
My wife and I have truly enjoied our first visit to the Blue Dolphin. Honestly, we didn't even plan to come here we went down town originally but that place we went to was packed. Then we went next door to get Haibachi. The place next door was empty and we asked for a host, did not get one and left. At the Blue Dolphin Ms. Mai was very kind and recommend the Seafood platter. We enjoyed our meal. The only downside was that the food isn't free (other complained about the price in reviews....). My wife had a great night, I even forgot to ask if they have a military discount. Thank you Blue Dolphin and staff for saving our night.
